Michelle and I got a new pool for graci; thank to a local free exchange list. Here we have it on top of the car and we drove home while hanging on to it, one hand on each side.
They say that practice makes perfect, but I have been practicing a long time now and I am far from perfect. So all that I can say is that I am practicing!

Graci-isms
Last week we went to Silverwood. Silverwood is a theme park in Athol Idaho. At silverwood we all started out on the wild water raft ride which got us all wet then moved on to the log ride.
First time on the log ride Graci was pretty scared and when we got off the lady told her to ride in the front next time and it wouldn't be so scary so she took her word for it. The next time down Graci rode in the front and I didn't even realize how scared she was till I looked at the pictures but one thing I do know, she had this to say about it “I don't want to go on this ride again....Ever.” -Graci

Follow the link (click on the image) and then you can find the magnifier above and on the right then drag the image down to look at Graci's face. :)

Graci-isms
Graci always has had, what I call her own way of viewing the world around her and I sometimes have to laugh at her comments.
This morning she came into the living room saying "Everyone, pretty much, in our neighborhood is shoveling snow. Can we go out and shovel snow too?"

I was invited to a slumber party!
Last night for the first time in my life (that I can remember, "remember" being the operative word,) I was invited to a slumber party. The kids put on a movie and said they were having a slumber party and I bemoaned that I never get invited to slumber parties and my youngest daughter said she would invite me. I was all excited but the other kids just looked at me and soon I got the impression that I wasn't entirely welcome. When every body started dragging in bedding, I said that if I didn't go down and go to bed with mommy that she would feel silly... Then in a few minutes I came back into the room and asked if I just said the word silly?
Everybody gave me the "dad's weird" look followed by something to the effect that they had no clue what I meant but that it was pretty much to be expected. Silly was the furthest thing from my mind, what I meant to say was that if I didn't go down and go to bed with mommy, she would be lonely. I don't know where "silly" came from, other than maybe I was thinking the whole idea of me being invited to a slumber party was pretty silly.

Graci-isms - I should be writing these down...
Yesterday Graci made one of those amazing statements which I always think I should be writing down, only this time I am going to do just that.
Ami came out and repeated it to the rest of the family.
Graci:
"Jennie is my favorite sister, except for Elise... and everyone else"!
